This BPPM revision includes the following changes:

Suspended Operations 50.40

This revision:

  • Expands the types of emergencies that may require suspended operations at the University from “inclement weather” to “natural, security, and public health emergencies.”
  • Updates the list of methods that emergency notifications are dispersed.
  • Adds the process to deal with WSU building damage caused by an emergency.

WSU Pullman Suspended Operations 50.41

This revision:

  • Expands the section to add procedures for other types of emergencies, in addition to inclement weather, that may take place on the WSU Pullman campus.
  • Changes the title from “WSU Pullman Inclement Weather Procedures.”
  • Gives authorization to move the campus to suspended operations to the Chancellor rather than the President.
  • Updates procedures for, and positions affected by, the current suspended operations process on the WSU Pullman campus.

WSU Health Sciences Spokane Suspended Operations 50.42

This revision:

  • Expands the section to add procedures for other types of emergencies, in addition to inclement weather, that may take place on the WSU Spokane campus.
  • Changes the title from “WSU Spokane Inclement Weather Procedures.”

WSU Tri-Cities Suspended Operations 50.43

This revision:

  • Expands the section to add procedures for other types of emergencies, in addition to inclement weather, that may take place on the WSU Tri-Cities campus.
  • Changes the title from “WSU Tri-Cities Inclement Weather Procedures.”

WSU Vancouver Suspended Operations 50.44

This revision:

  • Expands the section to add procedures for other types of emergencies, in addition to inclement weather, that may take place on the WSU Vancouver campus.
  • Changes the title from “WSU Vancouver Inclement Weather Procedures.”

WSU Off-Campus Locations Suspended Operations 50.45

This revision:

  • Expands the section to add procedures for other types of emergencies, in addition to inclement weather, that may take place at WSU Extension County and Reservation offices, RECs, and other WSU remote work locations.
  • Creates subsections to help identify the separate lines of authority and reporting hierarchy that are specific to each type of office/location.
  • Changes the title from “WSU Extension (RECs, RESs, and County Offices) Inclement Weather Procedures.”

WSU Everett Suspended Operations 50.46

This revision:

  • Expands the section to add procedures for other types of emergencies, in addition to inclement weather, that may take place on the WSU Everett campus.
  • Changes the title from “WSU Everett Inclement Weather Procedures.”

Privately-Owned Motor Vehicles 95.11

This minor amendment:

  • Removes the instruction for travelers to refer to the Washington Department of Transportation’s Mileage Chart web page for in-state travel. (The chart is no longer available on the DOT website.)
  • Updates the name of the responsible office from Travel Services to Payment Services to reflect the current organization.
