The Bursar&#8217;s Office response time may be limited by a court-imposed deadline.<\/p>\n<p>Bankruptcy-related correspondence includes:<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"Two_1\">2.1 Order of First Meeting<\/h4>\n<p>The Order of First Meeting is notification to the University that a person or organization is filing bankruptcy. The Bursar&#8217;s Office responds to this notification by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contacting all involved WSU departments to determine the total amount<br>\nowed WSU.<br>&nbsp;<br>WSU departments should rapidly respond to queries from the Bursar&#8217;s Office (even when money is not owed the department).<\/li>\n<li>Filing a claim for the amount with the cognizant court.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"Two_2\">2.2 Discharge Notice<\/h4>\n<p>The Discharge Notice informs WSU of the disposition of the court proceedings.
