2018<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>This BPPM revision includes the following changes:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Use of Washington State University Name and Trademarks <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/business-policies-and-procedures-manual\/bppm-35-10\/\"><strong>35.10<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This editorial change updates office names and website URLs to reflect current University practices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Copyrighting and Marketing Original Material <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/business-policies-and-procedures-manual\/bppm-35-35\/\">35.35<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This revision updates policy and procedures for copyright ownership and marketing of copyrightable materials, in accordance with the new executive policy <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/executive-policy-manual\/ep38\/\">EP38<\/a>: University Policies on Intellectual Property, Technology Transfer, and Commercialization.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recordkeeping and Publication&nbsp;Guidelines for Inventors <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/business-policies-and-procedures-manual\/bppm-35-45\">35.45<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This minor amendment:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Refers users to the new executive policy <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/executive-policy-manual\/ep38\/\">EP38<\/a>: University Policies on Intellectual Property, Technology Transfer, and Commercialization.<\/li>\n<li>Updates the office responsible for the evaluation of publication proposals to reflect&nbsp;current University practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Invention Ownership and Disclosure 35.50<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This section is removed.<\/p>\n<p>See the new executive policy <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/executive-policy-manual\/ep38\/\">EP38<\/a>: University Policies on Intellectual Property, Technology Transfer, and Commercialization for intellectual property ownership and disclosure requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Income Distribution <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/business-policies-and-procedures-manual\/bppm-35-53\/\">35.53<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This revision:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Updates the distribution royalties in accordance with the new&nbsp;executive policy <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/executive-policy-manual\/ep38\/\">EP38<\/a>: University Policies on Intellectual Property, Technology Transfer, and Commercialization.<\/li>\n<li>Changes the title of this section from Invention Income Distribution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Trade-Ins <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/business-policies-and-procedures-manual\/bppm-70-12\/\">70.12<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This minor amendment updates the procedures for documenting and obtaining Surplus Stores approvals for
