{"id":58002,"date":"2022-12-14T12:41:36","date_gmt":"2022-12-14T20:41:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/?page_id=58002"},"modified":"2022-12-14T12:41:37","modified_gmt":"2022-12-14T20:41:37","slug":"borm-revision-13","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/revisions\/borm-revisions\/borm-revision-13\/","title":{"rendered":"BORM Revision 13"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wsu-row wsu-row--single\" >\r\n    \n<div class=\"wsu-column\"  style=\"\">\r\n\t\n\n<h1>BOR Policy Manual Revision #13<\/h1>\n<p><strong>December 14, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>The Washington State University Board of Regents have approved the following revision to the Board of Regents (BOR) Policy Manual.<\/p>\n<p><b>Board of Regents Policy on Delegation of Authority <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/board-of-regents-policy-manual\/bor02\/\">BOR2<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>This revision:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adds a disclaimer stating that the policy does not include every matter that must be brought to the Board of Regents (BOR).<\/li>\n<li>Adds language stating that only the BOR has authority to declare a financial exigency, upon recommendation of the President.<\/li>\n<li>Updates the BOR reserved authority regarding parking rates and fines in accordance with resolution #220121-650.<\/li>\n<li>Adds that the President has authority to approve centers, institutes, and laboratories in accordance with resolution #190503-604.<\/li>\n<li>Updates capital, real estate, and general contractual authority in accordance with resolution #190503-604.<\/li>\n<li>Increases legal settlement authority dollar amount in accordance with other contractual authority.<\/li>\n<li>Updates authority to issue debt in accordance with resolution #131122-465.<\/li>\n<li>Updates authority to sign operating agreements with affiliated entities.<\/li>\n<li>Modifies language to state that the President has authority to assign names to minor facilities, and names to indicate function to major facilities, academic units, and other organizational units.<\/li>\n<li>Resolutions affected by this revision:\n<ul>\n<li>Adds #221118-669 (Delegation of Authority to Approve Time-Critical Contracts)<\/li>\n<li>Adds #131122-465 (WSU, Delegated Authority &#8211;
