of third-party contracts;<\/li>\n<li>Updates security requirements; and<\/li>\n<li>Adds requirements for CougarCard access to buildings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/business-policies-and-procedures-manual\/bppm-45-30\/\">45.30<\/a> Responding to Allegations of Research Misconduct<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">This revision:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adds information on the &#8220;subsequent use exception&#8221;;<\/li>\n<li>Updates the list of relevant definitions;<\/li>\n<li>Requires written determination from Deciding Official;<\/li>\n<li>Updates the definition of &#8220;plagiarism&#8221; to more specifically exclude non-research misconduct applications;<\/li>\n<li>Expands sponsor and additional respondent notification requirements;<\/li>\n<li>Adds requirement for reporting potential research misconduct;<\/li>\n<li>Clarifies joint proceedings;<\/li>\n<li>Updates confidentiality requirements and &#8220;need to know&#8221; qualifications;<\/li>\n<li>Adds &#8220;substantially equivalent&#8221; requirement for sequestered records;<\/li>\n<li>Adds requirements for list of records and investigation documents that must be filed with the ORI upon conclusion of an investigation, including when the research has a federal sponsor;<\/li>\n<li>Adds federal sponsor notification requirements for special circumstances; and<\/li>\n<li>Increases the investigation timeline from 120 to 180 calendar days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/business-policies-and-procedures-manual\/bppm-50-20\/\">50.20<\/a> Access to University Facilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">This revision:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Clarifies that authorized credentials include other access methods issued by local CougarCard centers;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Clarifies language around hazardous areas;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Generalizes policy to include all campus locations;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Updates contact information for campus security departments; and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Allows for the retirement of UPPM 50.24 After-Public-Hours Use of University Buildings.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/business-policies-and-procedures-manual\/bppm-50-41\/\">50.41<\/a> Pullman Suspended Operations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">This revision:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Replaces references to the WSU Pullman Chancellor;<\/li>\n<li>Updates membership of the Critical Incident Management Team;<\/li>\n<li>Updates the list of parties notified by the CIMT;<\/li>\n<li>Updates the public notification process;<\/li>\n<li>Includes Executive Vice Presidents among those with discretionary staffing responsibilities; and<\/li>\n<li>Clarifies the meeting, decision-making, and communication processes during inclement weather.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/business-policies-and-procedures-manual\/bppm-60-35\/\">60.35<\/a> Employee Demographic Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">This revision:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Removes references to the rescinded Executive Order 11246;<\/li>\n<li>Clarifies the purpose of collecting demographic information;<\/li>\n<li>Adds disclaimers regarding the optional nature of the disclosures;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Emphasizes the confidentiality of collected information; and\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Changes the name from &#8220;Employee Demographics: Sex, Race, Ethnicity, Disability, and Veteran Status&#8221; to &#8220;Employee Demographic Information.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/business-policies-and-procedures-manual\/bppm-60-38\/\">60.38<\/a> Disposal of Materials When Vacating University Areas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">This revision:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clarifies language and requirements throughout;<\/li>\n<li>Adds examples and references to materials and relevant policies;<\/li>\n<li>Clarifies responsibility for the proper removal and disposal of radioactive, hazardous, and biohazardous materials and potential fees, including forms and documentation;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Outlines responses when requirements are not met by vacating party; and<\/li>\n<li>Changes the name from &#8220;Notice of Faculty or Staff Departure\u2013Vacating University Areas&#8221; to &#8220;Disposal of Materials When Vacating University Areas.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/business-policies-and-procedures-manual\/bppm-65-01\/\">65.01<\/a> General University Contract Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This revision adds research-related Data Use or Data Sharing and research-related Nondisclosure agreements as contract types reviewed and processed by ORSO.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/business-policies-and-procedures-manual\/bppm-87-01\/\">87.01<\/a> WSU Information Security Roles, Responsibilities, and Definitions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This revision:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Updates policy overview and formatting to match the Chapter 87 template;<\/li>\n<li>Updates list of roles and responsibilities to reflect current ITS structure;<\/li>\n<li>Updates list of definitions to reflect terms in current ITS policies; and<\/li>\n<li>Updates list of acronyms to match definitions list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/policies.wsu.edu\/prf\/index\/manuals\/business-policies-and-procedures-manual\/bppm-90-01\/\">90.01<\/a> University Records Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This revision:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Brings the basic procedures, responsibilities, and requirements for retention and disposition of records (both physical and digital) into alignment with WA SOS recommendations, the newly revised WSU Records Retention Schedule, and feedback received from departments on the records management program;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Temporarily removes the review form for remediation; and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Allows for retirement of UPPM 90.03 Retention of Electronic Communications.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>This revision includes the following policy retirements:<\/p>\n<p><b>50.24 After-Public-Hours Use of University Buildings<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This policy&#8217;s content was updated and moved into UPPM 50.20.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>90.03 Retention of Electronic Communications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This policy&#8217;s content is no longer necessary as a separate policy due to current practices of records retention.
