This BPPM revision includes the following changes:

International Memorandums of Understanding and Agreements 10.42

This revision:

  • Removes the table and direct references to various office and administrators which may be involved in approving international agreements by activity.
  • Clarifies the final WSU approval process for international agreements.
  • Updates the available resources supporting the memorandums of understanding and international agreements procedures to reflect current practices.

Faculty-Led Study Abroad Programs 10.43

This revision updates the policy and procedures regarding the administration, requirements, and procedures for establishing faculty-led study abroad programs.

Cost Sharing and Matching 40.33

This new section provides an overview of the requirements, procedures, and responsibilities applicable to cost sharing and matching portions of the total costs of sponsored projects between the University and sponsors.

Pesticide Policy Overview 45.65

This revision:

  • Updates the requirements for out-of-state pesticide use.
  • Adds a requirement for written approval from the Pesticide Coordinator for “home remedy” recommendations.
  • Clarifies the advisory guidelines available at the WSPRS WSU Employee Resources website.
  • Updates various linked references throughout the document.

Approval to Make Pesticide Recommendations 45.67

This revision:

  • Updates the process for Extension and CAHNRS personnel to submit new and written publications for peer review and approval to publish.
  • Clarifies the advisory guidelines available at the WSPRS WSU Employee Resources website.
  • Updates various linked references throughout the document.

Use of Registered Pesticides 45.69

This revision:

  • Clarifies that the policy applies to students, as well as colleges, departments, researchers, and volunteers.
  • Updates the requirements for research faculty to be exempt from the public operator license requirement.
  • Updates the Worker Protection Standard to reflect current federal regulations.
  • Clarifies the advisory guidelines available at the WSPRS WSU Employee Resources website.
  • Updates various linked references throughout the document.

Experimental Use of Pesticides 45.70

This revision:

  • Updates the types of permits required for conducting both types of experimental use of pesticides.
  • Clarifies the references to chemical Safety Data Sheets.
  • Updates the requirements information regarding state individual experimental use permits.
  • Clarifies the advisory guidelines available at the WSPRS WSU Employee Resources website.
  • Updates various written and linked references throughout the document.

Retention of Electronic Communications 90.03

This revision:

  • Clarifies the retention requirements for electronic communications that may be deleted when no longer needed (transitory records).
  • Clarifies the descriptions of types of electronic records with specific assigned records retention periods.
  • Adds procedures for completely deleting electronic files.
  • Updates the options for storing retained messages in electronic format.
  • Adds clarification of requirements regarding the retention of imaged communications.

Meals and Lodging 95.06

This revision updates the requirements and procedures for requesting and granting reimbursements for lodging, meals, and incidentals to individuals who travel for University business.
