BPPM Revision #591

This BPPM revision includes the following changes:

Classification and Reclassification 60.02

This revision:

  • Updates references to “HRS” to be consistent with the University’s move toward a OneWSU system. The HRS office in Pullman is referred to as “system HRS” and HRS offices at Spokane, Tri-Cities, and Vancouver are referred to as “campus HRS offices.”  
  • Adds “Chief of Staff” to executive-level appointments in which the Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer must authorize the title designation.

Administrative Professional Salary Determination and Adjustment 60.12

This revision:

  • Updates references to “HRS” to be consistent with the University’s move toward a OneWSU system. The HRS office in Pullman is referred to as “system HRS” and HRS offices at Spokane, Tri-Cities, and Vancouver are referred to as “campus HRS offices.”  
  • Adds a subsection that includes the salary determination too/guide.  
  • Updates policies and procedures for using the salary determination too/guide.  
  • Adds “Chief of Staff” to executive-level appointments in which the Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer must authorize the title designation.  
  • Updates the policy for authorizing executive-level stipends.  
  • Updates the “Out-of-Cycle Adjustments” subsection as follows:
    • Adds General Considerations and Justification Categories
    • Updates the policies and procedures for reviewing out-of-cycle adjustments
  • Clarifies that employee-requested salary reviews go through campus HRS offices before final approval by system HRS.

Applicant Travel 95.14

This minor amendment:

  • Reformats, for clarity, the descriptions of the types of positions that are eligible for paid candidate travel expenses and updates.  
  • Updates the name of the responsible office from Travel Services to its supervisory unit, Payment Services.
